Full control and uncompromising standards

Our manufacturing process is built on the highest integrity and a deep conviction that conventional standards and practices which are commonly applied in today’s food industry are not always in the best interest of the consumer.

That is why we spare no effort and go way beyond industry standards when producing our fruit, vegetable and berry powders. Our powders are nutrient power houses delivering whole food based nutrients including valuable co-factors and phyto-nutrients that are easily absorbed by the human body. The manufacturing cost of our fruit, vegetable and berry powders is up to 2-3 times higher than other powders from mass production.

Certified organic and
heirloom seeds

It all starts with the right seeds. We use select seeds that have an established history in regards to nutrient content and hardiness. We also use some heirloom seeds which were planted many decades ago before hybridization was common. Approximately 2/3 of our seeds are certified organic and free of genetically modified organisms (Non-GMO).

Sustainable farming practices

Our fruits, vegetables and berries are farmed according to the highest USDA standards. We strive to use organic practices whenever possible and currently around 2/3 of our produce is certified organic and farmed without the use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides.

Peak nutritional harvesting

Because we maintain close relationships with our farmers we can harvest at peak nutritional content. Usually this is at peak ripeness but there are few exceptions, e.g. the acerola cherry has the highest vitamin C content before it reaches full ripeness.

Low temperature drying

Our manufacturers have decades of experience in low temperature drying processes with multiple patents. Our drying processes are optimized for the particular fruit, vegetable and berry varieties with the goal of maximum nutrient retention. We use specialty drying processes, proprietary cold drying processes and low temperature processes (freeze drying). Thereby we accomplish industry leading vitamin and antioxidant retention of up to 99%.

Encapsulation

Our dried powders are vacuum packed and shipped to our state of the art, FDA inspected and NSF/GMP certified blending and encapsulation facility. We only use the highest grade of vegan pullulan capsules available. These capsules have a stronger oxygen barrier than gelatin capsules and offer better protection for nutrients in the finished product. Our capsules are vegan and suitable for vegetarians (no gelatin).

Due to seasonal shortages, poor crops or unavailability due to other reasons, we sometimes have to use fruits, vegetables and berries where we do not have full control in every step of production.
